1978 Establishment of Committee.
1979 Wuchopperen Incorporated, Regional Needs Assessment.
1981 Secured funding $2,600 from NSW Teachers Federation and $2000 from Brot fer De World - established clinic shopfront–Sheridan Street; official opening ( July 10), secured funding of $21,400 from World Council of Churches.
1982 Relocated to 197 Lake Street; secured funding ($6240.40) from DAA for reticulated water supply for Mantaka.
1983 Purchase Lake Street premises; established dental clinic; established Outreach - Innisfail.
1983 Wuchopperen auspiced the Aboriginal people and Islander Child Care agency named as Yuddika
1984 Introduced Mobile Dental Service.
1986 Took lead role in establishing A & IHWEP - Aboriginal & Islander Health Worker Education Program.
1987/89 Represented Queensland ACCHS (Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service) in developing the NAHS (National Aboriginal Health Strategy).
1989 Kuranda health worker employed.
1990 Prison Health – Cairns watch house; established Mareeba Outreach; establishment of ATSIC.
1991 Hosted QAIHF Queensland Aboriginal Islander Health Forum meeting – Weipa; hand over Innisfail Clinic (MAMU); renovations to Lake Street – 2nd surgery (veranda); accredited as a trainingpractice (FMP Program).
1992 Murris Against Durries Program.
1993 Aboriginal Primary Health Care Project; Aboriginal Health Curriculum Development; hosted NACCHO National Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation Conference.
1994 Hand over to Mareeba ( Mulungu); established HACC Training Program; feasibility study – Social Health Program.
1995 Introduction of clinics to Lotus Glen Correction Centre; establishment of Office for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Service (HFS); established Jalbu ( Women’s Health Program); established Failure to Thrive Program.
1996 Established Social Health Program; established Adolescent Family Development Program; celebrated 15th Anniversary, acquired Moignard Street property; Ground breaking Ceremony; commencement of construction of Moignard Street clinic.
1997 Established Hearing Health Program; relocated to new centre in Moignard Street.
1998 Official opening of Moignard Street Clinic; established Sexual Health Program; established Diabetes Clinic; Member of consortium to establish FNQ Indigenous Social and Emotional Health and Healing Centre; established part time Atherton Outreach Clinic.
1999 Established Tableland Alcohol and Drug Service – Atherton; established Eye Health program; appointed Stolen Generations Counsellor; involvement in Project 300.
2000 SBS Feature on Project 300; Atherton /Croydon Regional Planning Project; adopted changes to constitution; resigned from QAIHF; establishment of Northern Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Alliance; construction of Social Health Rainforest Building.
2001 Launch of Mens Health poster featuring Anthony Mundine; Celebrated 20th anniversary; opening of Social Health building and Peace Garden.
2002 The Northern Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Alliance incorporated.
• Following the closure of Yuddika Aboriginal and Torres Strait child care agency the Intensive Family Support Program was established.
• Atherton based health clinic relocated to Evans St. and named Midin clinic.
2003 Moody St. Property purchased.
Atherton and Cairns health clinics accredited with Australian General Practice Accreditation Limited (AGPAL).
Official organisation title changed to Wuchopperen Health Service Limited and major constitutional update.
Healthy Happy Families program commenced.
2004 Interim recognised entity services established in Cairns for Child protection services.
• Guugu House leased for community support programs (Atherton).
2005 Major organisation restructure including the creation of a CEO position.
• Full conversion to electronic medical records in Cairns.
• Rural Health Education Foundation (RHEF) funded satellite broadcast facilities.
2006 National award winner of the Reconciliation Australia and BHP Billiton's Indigenous Governance award (for organisations established ten years or more).
• 1st July 2006 Wuchopperen commenced auspice of the Mount Isa Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Service.
• Wuchopperen became a founding participant of the Centre for Rural and Remote Mental Health Queensland.
