GP Registrar Positions Do you really want to move up in the world? Wuchopperen is a community controlled primary health care facility that services a large Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander population. GP Registrars considering placements will gain a thorough understanding of the practice of medicine with Indigenous people in an award winning health organisation. The program includes:
GP registrars can be involved in many clinical services including, general clinics, home/nursing home visits, school visits, rural out reach clinics and custodial health clinics. Population health programs include being part of a chronic disease Continuous Improvement Process and Healthy for Life Program, that includes both ongoing design, Quality Assurance, monitoring, evaluation and research. Valuable experience can be gained in our specialist programs. Programs include areas such as male and female health, kiddies health, hearing health, cardiac rehabilitation, youth programs, mental health, sexual health and chronic disease. Teaching experience can be gained by teaching medical students, working with Indigenous health workers and small group patient education, with scope for basic research input on current projects.
